State Representative of the 5th Congressional District Cathy McMorris Rodgers visited Walla Walla High School Tuesday morning to discuss issues with students. The meeting was part of her “Conversation with Cathy” Town Hall Series. Topics included expanding access to rural broadband, securing cleaner energy, technology and veterans affairs.
Approximately 75 students were in attendance for the 45-minute town hall meeting held in the Commons. Several students asked questions for Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers and took photos with her at the end of the meeting.
“I love the energy with the students and am always inspired by our young generation,” said Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers. “I thought they asked great questions and were up to speed on many of the issues of the day facing them as young people.”

“All of those "80" students represented Walla Walla High School in the finest fashion. They listened, asked great questions and left Representative McMorris Rogers with a great impression of the student body we have here" commented Wa-Hi teacher Bill Plucker who helped coordinate the event.
