Homecoming dance a huge success!
On Saturday, October 2, ASB hosted “Hollywood” for the 2021 Homecoming dance at the WWPS Transportation Center. The dance was the largest event held in years with over 1000 tickets sold.
According to Ms. Shayna Hutchens, ASB advisor, said “This dance was a great event because over half of our student body attended, and it took an amazing amount of coordination to pull it off. The folks at the Facilities department and the Transportation department helped prepare the space and decorations. The administration coordinated the supervision of nearly 1,000 students and the ASB advertised, decorated and worked with the DJ to plan the music and he kept kids dancing the whole night. Thanks to the Walla Walla Police Department, campus support, and Ian Edwards for their presence, Concrete Industries for the parking, and all the teachers and support personnel who supervised. It was truly a community effort.”
Students danced to music by The Rockwell Brand owned by Sergio Orozco of Walla Walla. Rockwell played a variety of music from different genres and different eras, appealing to most everyone.
Mr. Shane Prudente and Mr. Kyle Eggers took photos for free and posted them on www.shaneprudente.com.
A great time was had by all students who attended.
