Our GO BLUE students for the month of March were chosen for their tendencies to go above and beyond in the classroom.
These students are Kamryn Low, Dominic Walker, Hunter Polley, Kenneth Shipman III, Jackson Vanslyke, Jordan Graves, Noel Lagunas and Maricela Villagomez. We asked these exceptional students what they think sets them apart from their classmates.
Sophomore Kenneth Shipman III was nominated by Faydale Curtice. “I do my work when I’m told to, and I’m not afraid to ask questions when I need to,” Shipman said. Sophomore Hunter Polley was nominated by Vivian Glaeser. “I always have a smile on my face, and I make a point to talk to her every day and ask her how her day is,” Polley said.
Junior Jackson Vanslyke was nominated by Alyssa Moreno. “I’m respectful in class, and I’m a very hard worker,” Vanslyke said. Junior Jordan Graves was nominated by Shauna Millet. “Mrs. Millet says I’m the best T.A. she’s ever had, and I really do love her freshman class and try to support them as best I can,” Graves said.
Senior Maricela Villagomez was nominated by Kristen Wegner. “I’m a hard-worker, and I have zero missing assignments. I’m always respectful, too,” Villagomez said. Senior Noel Lagunas was also nominated by Faydale Curtice. “I help people as much as I can, especially with hard math problems,” Lagunas said.
Freshmen Dominic Walker and Kamryn Low were not present for interviews, but also received GO BLUE Student of the Month awards.
As Spring Break ends and everyone falls back into routine, be sure to keep up the hard work and not let yourself slip over the last two months of school.
