Eric Hisaw was appointed the new head football coach during the March 1 school board meeting. Hisaw teaches Physical Education and has taught this since 1997. "Eric Hisaw has demonstrated his knowledge and motivational skills as a part of the Walla Walla High School football program, as head track coach and most importantly as a successful teacher," Principal Pete Peterson said. "There is no doubt that he is ready for this challenge, and we are excited to have him in this new role." Hisaw received a full athletic scholarship and played football, as a two year starting quarterback, for University of Idaho. He was also on the Track and Field team. "I am really, really excited about the opportunity to be the head coach of Wa-Hi," Hisaw said. "It is a great chance for kids in the school to be excited about continuing to build on the positive reputation. We want to make it as great as we can for this community." Hisaw will, on top of coaching football, continue to coach track and field. |
